Basic Life Support registration card and certificate is valid for 2 years, after that you have again to undergo training and test for renewal.

BLS Summary

Getting Basic Life Support training is compulsory for getting registered with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

There are two pathways to get registered for BLS training and exam. In both cases you will get training and certificate from National CPR Committee, Saudi Heart Association.

Pathway 01:

Go directly to the hospital or institute that provides the BLS training. Fill the registration form, pay the fee (SR; 350)and get the manual/handbook for preparation.

Pathway 02:

Go to URL: www.ksacpr.com and make a new account.

Register for BLS course at preferred center and feasible date.

Go to the choosen centre and pay the fee (SR: 350) and get the manual/handbook.

Preparation Tips.

Pre Exam.

On www.ksacpr.com after logging in to your account , take a pre-exam and keep attempting the until you get more than 80% .

It is a kind of practice test.

On the course day.

Final Exam.

After going through all the video lectures, practical training and practical skill evaluation, you have to take final exam and have to secure more than 80 % marks to pass. Test can be online or written , in both cases it include 15 MCQs as they were in pre-exam.

After you pass the final exam , again go to the www.ksacpr.com & log in to your account. Under the completed courses section , click on the feedback of training center link. Fill the feedback form and submit it.

Collecting the Card & Certificate.

Now the time for reward. Go to the center and collect your printed certificate and card. Don't forget to check the expiry date, name spelling and most important the STAMP of the training center.

BLS (Basic Life Support) Registration

Basic Life Support (BLS) is the level of medical care which is used for victims of life-threatening illnesses or injuries until they can be given full medical care at a hospital. It can be provided by trained medical personnel, including emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and by laypersons who have received BLS training. BLS is generally used in the pre-hospital setting, and can be provided without medical equipment.

BLS or Basic Life Support certificate is mandatory to get registered as health care professional with SCFHS.

To get BLS training & certificate from KSA, there are two pathways;

1- Go to any authorized BLS training center: 

    (list of them are given on Saudi Heart Association CPR website ).

The training center will register you and guide about further steps. the center will also provide you with a book for reading BLS guidelines as per American Heart Association.

Fee for BLS is 300 Riyals.

It is approximately 05 hours course containing training , practical test and also MCQs based test (either online or written)  (15 MCQs only).

To pass you must secure 80 % marks.

2- BLS online registeration.

- Go to www.ksacpr.com

- Click on register .

- Fill the personal details, contact details & additional information.

- Click on "Submit"

Academic qualification = Doctor of Pharmacy.

After pressing submit you will be registered to SHA portal and you will get an email in which further details are provided.
